The Tech Studio is a 4,000-square-foot makerspace where visitors are challenged to design, build, test and iterate on solutions to engineering challenges.

A lively and flexible space, The Tech Studio can offer several programs simultaneously. It even changes over the course of a day. From highly structured challenges designed and created by our team to encourage rapid testing and iteration to more open-ended making activities, there is a Tech Studio activity for everyone. A contribution to this program pays for materials, program development, evaluation and staffing necessary to create activities that bring out everyone's inner innovator.

• Five years: $2.5 million

• Endowment: $10 million. Provides $500,000 in annual funding in perpetuity, ensuring Silicon Valley’s young people will always have access to a hands-on makerspace.
